Mr. Joshua Stonebraker
The Lakeview Board of School Directors and administration are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Joshua Stonebraker as the new Principal at Oakview Elementary School.
Mr. Stonebraker attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2005. In 2015, he earned both his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and an Administrative Certification from California University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Stonebraker started his professional career at Stafford Elementary School in Stafford, Virginia. Over the course of six and half years at Stafford Elementary, he taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. He and his family then returned home to Western Pennsylvania, where he was hired by the Slippery Rock Area School District as a 5th grade teacher. Mr. Stonebraker began his administrative career in June of 2018 when he was hired by the Greenville Area School District as an Assistant Principal for Greenville Elementary, where he proudly served the Greenville community for five years.
Mr. Stonebraker is honored to join the Lakeview family and is looking forward to creating positive relationships within the school community and continuing to build on the wonderful school culture at Oakview Elementary.
Mr. Stonebraker resides in Slippery Rock, PA with his wife, Erin, their two children, Camden and Elyse, and their two dogs, Halley and Jordy. In his free time he enjoys being outdoors, hunting and fishing, is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, and enjoys watching his children compete in sports. Go Sailors!
Mr. Curt Ace Oakview Elementary Assistant Principal
Mr. Ace is a graduate of Franklin High School. He attended Edinboro University of PA, earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Special Education, a Master’s of Arts Degree in Secondary Guidance Counseling, and K-12 Principal Certification. He also earned Supervisor of Special Education Certification through Slippery Rock University of PA.
Prior to becoming the Assistant Principal at Oakview Elementary, Mr. Ace served as the Assistant Principal at Lakeview Middle-High School, worked as a Special Education Teacher at Vision Quest, Clarion Psychiatric Center, and Conneaut Lake High School for a total of 9 years. He then worked as a Guidance Counselor at Commodore Perry High School for 16 years. He also served in the United States Army Reserves for 8 years.
He is focused on promoting self-advocacy and self-determination in young people and enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively in helping all students succeed.
Mr. Ace is happily married to his wife, Stephanie. They are both proud parents of two grown children, Brendan and Kaylee. Mr. Ace enjoys the outdoors and working on his 10-acre
property in the country.
